Daughter. Sister. Dog mom. Therapist. Educator. Advocate. Traveler. Life-long learner.
I've worked as a clinical social worker for 13 years in mental health and substance use settings. I work with people from all different backgrounds and support people showing up as their authentic selves. I work best with adults from 18-65, people who have wanted to address anxiety, depression, grief, trauma management skills, life transitions (ie moving, leaving workforce, divorce/separation), substance use, health anxieties, chronic illnesses. People who identify as Type A/perfectionist, first generation, and eldest daughter are identities I have a long history of working with as well.
I began my career in 2017, working in a well known inpatient facility here in Utah, helping high net worth clients with acute substance use disorders find their way towards context for their addiction. It was my background in journalism (my former career) that informed my approach to helping these clients get their stories out. Just by asking to next logical question, their timelines came to life in ways that brought "aha moments" to the light.
